Why do bullet dimensions sometimes vary from the listed specifications?
Small variations can occur due to alloy composition, casting temperature, and technique. Different lead alloys shrink at different rates as they cool, which can slightly affect final bullet size.
What lead alloy works best with Arsenal Molds?
Our molds work well with common casting alloys such as wheel weights and lead/tin blends. Using a consistent alloy and proper casting temperature will produce the most consistent results.
Are Arsenal Molds made in the USA?
Yes. All Arsenal Molds products are proudly designed and manufactured in the USA with precision machining and strict quality control.
Do your bullet molds require a break-in period?
Very little break-in is required. We recommend cleaning the mold before first use and allowing it to reach proper casting temperature for optimal performance.
How do I properly clean and maintain my mold?
After casting, allow the mold to cool, clean off residue, and lightly oil steel components before storage. Avoid abrasive cleaners to protect precision surfaces.
